Phase 4 Films is one of the leading full service independent studios. Since 1996 it has been providing a full range of services relating to the sales, marketing, licensing and distribution of feature films, television and special interest content across all media in the North American market. The Company focuses on four channels: (i) Theatrical, (ii) Home Entertainment, (iii) Television, and (iv) Ancillary & Digital Media.

The Company continues to acquire high caliber films and television series for distribution in the U.S and Canada. Film releases include Kevin Smith's Red State (Melissa Leo, John Goodman); Sam Levinson's dark and dysfunctional ensemble comedy Another Happy Day (Ellen Barkin, Demi Moore, Kate Bosworth and Thomas Haden Church); Vidal Sassoon The Movie, director Craig Teper's revealing and inspirational portrait of the iconic hairdresser who changed the world with a pair of scissors; Matt Tyrnauer’s acclaimed fashion documentary Valentino: The Last Emperor; and the highly acclaimed crime drama, JCVD (Jean-Claude Van Damme). Television series include the Neil Jordan-helmed The Borgias (Jeremy Irons, Colm Feore); the Emmy Award-winning The Tudors (Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Henry Cavill, Sam Neil); and the Gemini Award-winning Flashpoint (Hugh Dillon).  

Phase 4 Films’ label, kaBOOM! Entertainment is one of the most recognizable brands in the children’s and family market. Established in 2000, the label releases both episodic properties that include Max & Ruby, Franklin and Chuggington, along with full length animated features including The True Story of Puss ‘N Boots and The Adventures of Young Doctor Dolittle.

The Company has secured direct relationships across all media platforms including partnerships with Walmart, Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, Xbox, Netflix, iTunes, and many more. Phase 4 Films distributes a catalog of over 1,000 titles, creating one of the largest independent libraries in North America.

Phase 4 Films is recognized as an authorized theatrical distributor by Telefilm Canada, and is also eligible to distribute Canadian Television Funded programming worldwide.
 


Phase 4 Films is committed to making a real difference in its community by supporting causes that are meaningful to its team members. Each year, the Phase 4 team selects one ‘charity of choice’ which becomes the focus for all fundraising efforts. In 2011, the Company supported The Hospital for Sick Children; in 2012, Phase 4 is supporting Huntington’s Society.
